The process began all the way back in 2005, when potential host cities were asked to submit their applications to the International Olympic Committee (IOC). After an extensive two-year process, it all came down to a voting method that produced a surprising upset.

The Educational Advancement Foundation (EAF) is pleased to announce the 2014 R.L. Moore Legacy Conference June 19-21 in Denver, Colorado. The Legacy of R.L. Moore Project, established by the Educational Advancement Foundation, helps advance studies of the mathematician Robert Lee Moore (1882-1974), thereby promoting the study of more effective methods of learning and teaching at all educational levels and in all subjects. Every student has the capability for creative and critical thinking and the method pioneered by Moore has proven to be very conducive to recognizing, nurturing, and developing this ability.
