Lately I have been watching the CBS show NUMB3RS. I came across an interesting website with information regarding the math used in the episodes. It can be found at http://numb3rs.wolfram.com/season6.html. (Thinking about the math behind the show makes me feel not so guilty about wasting time sitting in front of the TV.)
For some interesting trivia about the show, see http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0433309/trivia.
What good math shows/movies do you all recommend?

If you are anything like me, you have forgotten a lot of your differential equations material. I have had several students ask me for help in d.e. and I have to get out my old notes and books and try to figure it out. Good news though… Wolfram|Alpha now shows step-by-step solutions to simple d.e.’s and some more complicated ones.
