I spent a few months thinking about how to turn my theorem into a compelling dance, and then a few more months filming and video editing, and I am extremely happy with the finished product:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: xx-small\"><a href=\"http:\/\/vimeo.com\/47049144\">Cutting Sequences on the Double Pentagon: Interpretive Dance<\/a> from <a href=\"http:\/\/vimeo.com\/dianathemath\">Diana Davis<\/a> on <a href=\"http:\/\/vimeo.com\">Vimeo<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Lucky for me, I work in geometry, so my thesis deals with shapes and objects that I can easily show to people. Still, no matter your field, I highly recommend considering making a video for this contest. It forced me to distill my thesis to its essential elements, which was a good exercise.
