Luckily, with it comes a new batch of fantastic math networking opportunities at the four upcoming <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ams.org\/meetings\/sectional\/sectional.html\">AMS Sectional Meetings<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ams.org\/meetings\/sectional\/2238_program.html\">September 24-25, 2016, Bowdoin College, Brunswick, ME<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ams.org\/meetings\/sectional\/2235_program.html\">October 8-9, 2016, University of Denver, Denver, CO<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ams.org\/meetings\/sectional\/2239_program.html\">October 28-30, 2016, University of St. Thomas, Minneapolis, MN<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ams.org\/meetings\/sectional\/2241_program.html\">November 12-13, 2016, North Carolina State University at Raleigh, Raleigh, NC<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Sectionals are conveniently scheduled around weekends to minimize overlap with teaching and coursework. We enthusiastically encourage you to browse the program for each meeting (by clicking the four links above) and consider attending the AMS Sectional Meeting that is most appealing to you.<\/p>\n<p>Best of all, the AMS is providing some <strong>$250<\/strong>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ams.org\/programs\/travel-grants\/grad-students\/emp-student-JMM\">travel grants for graduate students<\/a>\u00a0(click the link for eligibility details).\u00a0The application deadline is <strong>July 25th, 2016<\/strong> at 11:59pm EDT (East Coast time).<\/p>\n<p>Applications are only accepted through the MathPrograms.org link given below,\u00a0and application results\u00a0are given out nice and\u00a0quickly by August 19th. The application is simple (<strong>no reference letters!<\/strong>) and well worth a little bit of your time. Remember: if you spend, say, half an hour filling out the application and you receive the award, then that&#8217;s equivalent to earning $500 an hour.
