{"id":1382,"date":"2016-08-20T14:51:13","date_gmt":"2016-08-20T18:51:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.ams.org\/matheducation\/?p=1382"},"modified":"2016-08-20T14:51:13","modified_gmt":"2016-08-20T18:51:13","slug":"from-the-editors-changes-for-the-editorial-board","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ams.org\/matheducation\/2016\/08\/20\/from-the-editors-changes-for-the-editorial-board\/","title":{"rendered":"From the Editors: Changes for the Editorial Board"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>by Benjamin Braun,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.ams.org\/matheducation\/about-the-editors\/\">Editor-in-Chief<\/a>, University of Kentucky<\/em><\/p>\n<p>To start, I want to thank all of our readers, subscribers, and contributors \u2014 we appreciate your feedback and ideas through your writing, social media comments, and in-person conversations at mathematical meetings and events. \u00a0Since launching our blog in June of 2014, our articles\u00a0have received over 189,000 unique page views! \u00a0We\u00a0will continue to strive to provide high-quality articles on a broad range of topics related to post-secondary mathematics, and we welcome your feedback and suggestions.<\/p>\n<p>I\u00a0have a\u00a0few changes to announce regarding the editorial board for\u00a0<em>On Teaching and Learning Mathematics<\/em>. \u00a0Following two years of service as a founding Contributing Editor for our blog, Elise Lockwood is leaving our board\u00a0to join the editorial board of the new\u00a0International Journal on Research in Undergraduate Mathematics Education (IJRUME). \u00a0Many\u00a0thanks to Elise for her excellent contributions that helped the blog have a\u00a0great start over the past two years! \u00a0I know that we can look forward to hearing more from Elise in the future as a contributing author.<\/p>\n<p>For 2016-2017, I am happy to\u00a0welcome <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.ams.org\/matheducation\/about-the-editors\/\">three new Contributing Editors<\/a> to the board:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Luis David Garc\u00eda Puente, Sam Houston State University<\/li>\n<li>Jess Ellis, Colorado State University<\/li>\n<li>Steven Klee, Seattle University<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Luis, Jess, and Steve bring with them a wealth of expertise\u00a0in teaching, research, and mentoring, and I am excited that they will be sharing their\u00a0expertise with our readers.<\/p>\n<p>For those of you who are\u00a0regular readers, we will continue to publish articles roughly every two weeks, with a target goal of publishing 24 articles per year.
