\"StylizedToday, item number MR4000000<\/a> was added to MathSciNet. Hurray!\u00a0 It is a paper on a local Jacquet-Langlands correspondence by Vincent S\u00e9cherre<\/a> and Shaun Stevens,<\/a> published in Compositio Mathematica<\/em><\/a>.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

It will take a while (a few months) for us to send the paper to a reviewer, for the reviewer to write something about the paper, and for us to post the review to MathSciNet.\u00a0 So, to start, we have the bibliographic information in place:<\/p>\n

In the old days, when there was only the paper Mathematical Reviews<\/em>, nothing was “added” until we had the review in hand and could print it as part of one of the big orange volumes that some of us remember.\u00a0 Here is a photo of Robert Bartle<\/a> hand stamping the item that became MR1000000.\u00a0 Everyone came out to help.\u00a0 Clearly this is a nice day, and not late February in Michigan.\u00a0 (The review was published in February 1990.)<\/p>\n
